I am STOKED to see this movie this weekend!!!
Okay, so I learned a couple cool things to look for when we see it.
Of course we know there's lots of symbolism in the movie. But, did you know that C.S. Lewis had a purpose to having each of the Pevensie children wonder if a different animal would be in Narnia in the book (and the movie)? The animals they each specifically mentioned were thoughtfully assigned by Lewis to reveal which "animal" they were like. Neato, huh? That C.S.! What a genious!
The Holy Spirit is symbolized in the movie...but how? We'll have to watch and find out, huh? Watch carefully...
One more thing. We don't have to watch for this in the movie, but, it's still cool. We can share it with the people around us while we're in the ticket line.
The name "Narnia" originated from an ancient Roman colony on a hilltop in central Italy - the town is called "Narni" and is considered to be Italy's geographic center...Hm. I always knew I wanted to go to Italy.
